WOW! Paris really is a night city, pity we had to leave by then!. In the daylight Paris is Busy, Dirty and worst of all full of French people! However, once the sun begins to set ( you will see from the photos ) the place becomes Magical, less Traffic, Awesome smells coming from the resturants, and couples making out ALL OVER THE PLACE ! We saw more than we thought we would in the 8 hours we had there.
We got a hop on hop off open top bus tour that took us around all the main sights and special roads. We went into Notre Dame and were blown away by its size and detail. Absolutely amazing. Then we went along Champ Elysee (a very special tree-lined avenue that leads to the huge Arc de Triomphe. Then we went past LOADS of memorial statues and obelisks and finally stopped at the Eiffel Tower. We joined the incredibly long queues to go up to the second storey. It was well worth the wait coz the views from up there were fantastic. After that, we went on a cruise up the river and saw Paris from a totally different perspective. That was lovely.
We had a bit of an incident on the Eurostar coming back to England. Some guy was listening to his really, REALLY annoying music loud enough that we thought it was the internal sound system (like musak in a lift) so an English lady asked him to turn it off or put ear phones on. He got really cranky and was throwing a huge tantrum. I couldn't just sit there and listen to him being so rude, so of course I had to say something. We were really diplomatic and asked him to sit down so others could sleep or relax, that he was entitled to his opinion but so was she, etc, etc and then he calmed down and all was good. Dramas!
We're off to Belfast today. I need to head upstairs in a tick and pack the bags, so the next time we write will be from Ireland. We have so many stamps in our passports, it's fantastic!
Hello everyone at Julatten! Good to see all of your comments. Hello new boys (I don't know your names yet, nobody has told me them!) but I hear you both are very funny. Looking forward to meeting you. Keep posting comments, guys. It really makes me smile when I read them.
Happy birthday Will! Hope you had a great day. We keep thinking of Macy at home alone but we know she's being well looked after , Thank You!
